Clubs Award pay rates 2026–27

The Registered and Licensed Clubs Award covers RSLs, sporting clubs and other licensed clubs. Casual weekend and public holiday rates equal the permanent penalty rates under this award. These rates apply from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2026.

Level 2 Casual

Club Employee Level 2. Weekend/PH rates equal permanent rates (casual loading does not stack). Evening/late-night loadings are not prefilled — check the pay guide.

A Club Employee Level 2 casual earns $33.85 per hour for ordinary weekday hours from 1 July 2026 including casual loading; permanent Level 2 staff earn $27.08 per hour.

What are the weekend rates for clubs?

Saturdays are 150% and Sundays 175% of the base rate, with public holidays at 250%. Evening and late-night loadings also apply; check the Fair Work pay guide for amounts.
