Task Management for Daily Operations
Keep your team on track with a clear taskboard. Create tasks, assign them to staff, set priorities and due dates, and update each task's status as the work gets done.
Managing tasks with the Taskboard
Follow these steps to create, assign, and track tasks across your team.
View the Taskboard
Navigate to the Taskboard from your dashboard. Tasks are grouped into sections by status — Overdue, Open, In Progress, and Completed — so anything that's slipped past its due date stands out straight away. Each card shows the task name, assignee, and priority level at a glance.
Create a one-off task
Click the '+ New task' button to create a task. Give it a clear name, an optional description, and choose whether it's a one-off job or a recurring item. One-off tasks are perfect for ad-hoc jobs like 'Fix the leaking tap' or 'Restock serviettes'.
Assign to staff or roles
Assign each task to a specific team member or to an entire role (e.g. all Baristas). When assigned, staff receive a notification and the task appears in their personal task list. Role-based assignments let the first available person pick it up.
Set due dates and priorities
Give each task a due date and a priority level — Low, Medium, High, or Urgent. Priorities are colour-coded so the most pressing work stands out, and any task past its due date moves into the Overdue section so nothing slips through the cracks.
Update a task's status
As work moves along, change a task's status with a quick tap — from a button or menu on the task, no dragging required. Mark it In Progress when someone picks it up, then Completed when it's done. Completed tasks move into the Completed section so the board stays focused on what's still open.
