Shiftbreeze vs RosterElf
RosterElf is an Australian rostering product with clear per-employee pricing and a cheaper annual option. The differences that matter for a small venue: Shiftbreeze has no seat minimums, and daily operations (checklists, cash counts, stock takes, incidents) live in the same app as the roster. At the time of writing, RosterElf's published plans centre on rostering, time and attendance and payroll integration.

RosterElf pricing as published at rosterelf.com/pricing, as at September 2026: Core $8 per employee per month billed monthly or $6 billed annually, Full Suite $10 billed monthly or $7 billed annually, all ex GST, with a 3-staff minimum on monthly billing. Comparison prices use the Core plan billed monthly. A dash in the table means the feature is not listed on RosterElf's published plans, not a claim that it is unavailable; figures and features may change, so check RosterElf's site for current details. Shiftbreeze: $5 per active user, per month, all features included, no minimums.
No minimums, one flat price
RosterElf's monthly billing carries a 3-staff minimum, so the smallest teams pay for three seats regardless, and the cheaper $6 rate needs an annual commitment. Shiftbreeze is a flat $5 per active user with every feature included: a 2-person coffee cart pays $10 a month, a 30-person venue pays $150, and there is no minimum and no annual lock-in either way.
Operations live in the same app
At the time of writing, RosterElf's published plans centre on rostering, time and attendance and payroll integration. Shiftbreeze bundles the daily ops layer many venues run on paper or separate apps: opening and closing checklists, cash counts, stock takes, store photos, incident and maintenance logs.
Where RosterElf is ahead
RosterElf has been rostering Australian teams for longer than Shiftbreeze, and a longer track record is a fair thing to weigh when you are choosing who to run your week on. It also offers annual billing for businesses that prefer to commit for a year and be invoiced once, which we do not: Shiftbreeze is month to month only. Worth knowing that the annual commitment brings RosterElf's Core plan to $6 per employee a month ex GST, which still sits above our flat $5.
